Chu Shong-tin (徐尚田, born 1933) was the third student of Wing Chun master Yip Man and remained at Yip Man's school to become his senior instructor.
He moved to Hong Kong in November 1949, started learning Wing Chun informally in September 1950. Chu developed an admiration for his new friend and his deep understanding and commitment to Wing Chun. Chu became Yip's formal student in January 1951. Yip Man convinced him that Wing Chun would help him to overcome his bad health and build up his fitness.
In the late 1950s, he began to teach privately, setting up his own school in Kowloon in 1964. He wrote the book (詠春寶鑑) and has produced instructional DVDs.
