Jim Fung (Fung Chuen Keung 馮傳強; May 16, 1944 – March 18, 2007) was the founder and Principal Instructor of the International Wing Chun Academy.
Master Fung was a top student of Chu Shong Tin and began private lessons with him in Hong Kong in 1960.This lineage prides itself on its adherence to the 'pure principles of Wing Chun' which can be directly traced back to the art's founder, Ng Mui.
Jim Fung immigrated to Australia from Hong Kong in his late teens and studied at the University of Adelaide. He opened his first school, the "C.K. Martial Art School" (using the initials of his Chinese name, Chuen Keung). He is the author of two books, Wing Chun Kung Fu and Wing Chun Weapons, and produced a teaching video titled "Wing Chun", in 1985.
Grandmaster Fung is remembered by his many students for his extraordinary skill, his ability to draw together people from different cultural and societal backgrounds and his genuine love of Wing Chun Kung Fu.
